  • Saturday 12:00am - 12:00am
  • Sunday 12:00am - 8:30pm

Additional hours available during school vacations and snow days.

House of Angels Respite Center - Services

Our respite center provides a multi generational environment on a drop-in, day service, and overnight basis. Loving and supportive care is provided for children with disabilities and adults.

House of Angels services provided:

  • Structured environment;
  • Multi generational interaction;
  • Community living services;
  • Field trips and outings;
  • Social interaction;
  • Naps;
  • Transportation services;
  • Activities include games, arts & crafts, and cooking
  • First aid and cpr certified staff

Importance of respite care

Everyone needs time to refresh and energize; time to complete projects; time to do things that are fun and rewarding; time to simply relax; time to think about day-to-day plans, or to plan for dealing with major challenges. Without time for those activities, anyone can become overwhelmed and exhausted!

Some examples are:

  • a few hours to go shopping, see a movie or take a nap;
  • a weekend for a family vacation;
  • scheduling medical appointment for oneself;
  • working on a volunteer activity outside the home;
  • couples having time alone with each other;
  • parents spending valuable one-to-one time with siblings of a child with disabilities
